Candidate Advice | Client advice

  • I've moved job quite frequently during the last few years - my last 5 jobs have ranged from 6 to 18 months. I'm aware this is starting to look bad on my CV, but I am interested in moving job again. Will my frequent moves work against me in finding a new position?
  • If you have a marketing degree but with an account management and sales background, what is the best way to get back to Marketing?
  • I've over 20 years experience in product strategy, product management and product marketing. Currently I'm the director of a product management consultancy business and am interested in short term assignments. Does Marketing Moves ever get involved in placing people for short term assignments or are you only interested in placing permanent staff?

Frequent moves with a limited track record in each employ will undoubtedly work against you in finding a new position. In order to minimise this effect you would be wise to attach a covering email with your CV explaining in more detail your reasons for leaving.

Your best route would be through Sales Operations. From there it will be easier to move back into a mainstream marketing role.
