Partner Marketing Manager Recruitment Key Details

Delivery: Nathan Davies, Managing Partner
Sectors: Technology Enterprise
Role: Partner / Channel Marketing Manager
Location: Berkshire

Background

Nathan was engaged by the company in question because they know first hand the calibre of candidates she provides as well as good company fit – elements that would be crucial in this recruitment process as the role required an experienced individual to work alongside the partners to support both the sales team and senior stakeholders.

Challenge

As with any senior role, the recruitment process was not without its complexities – which in this case hinged on the seniority required versa sector experience and location. This naturally made the recruitment process challenging. It is also hard for large globals to allocate time for interviews quickly within their busy schedules and required careful management of applicants to ensure they remained focused and didn’t look elsewhere.

Solution

With time ticking, Nathan utilised his comprehensive set of connections built over many years to quickly contact an appropriate long list of candidates to talk through the role. After whittling it down to the best four, based on personality as well as skill, he created a shortlist and sent it to the client.

One of the many reasons for Nathan’s success is his perseverance, which the client discovered when they rejected his main candidate! Determined to bring together this match, and utilising his strong relationship with the company, Nathan created a set of additional notes to support the candidate, who after a review, then went on to have a very successful phone interview with the client.

Outcome

From Nathan’s shortlist, a key candidate was taken to a two-stage interview process with the client. Marketing Moves are delighted to announce that this candidate was successfully hired as the Partner Marketing Manager.

The successful applicant Karen Bishop received the offer as she possessed the perfect skill fit and experience, as well as her vibrant personality which quickly built excellent rapport with both the reporting manager and the Sales Director. Since her appointment, she has been doing really well and is enjoying her new position as Partner Marketing Manager!

Testimonials

“Working with Nathan was a pleasure, which is something I thought I would never say about a recruiter! I was at a point in my career where I knew what I really wanted to do and wasn’t sure how to get noticed by companies looking for people for those positions. Nathan made time to actually listen, get to know me and understand fully what I wanted and then he made sure he explained ‘me’ and who I really am to internal recruiters and companies. I am now very happy in a role that a year ago I thought I would never be able to get. I would not hesitate in recommending Nathan and Marketing Moves, thank you!”
