Marketing Moves’ Director of Americas David Holton is taking part in this year’s virtual Tour de Fox event in aid of the Michael J Fox Foundation to find the cure for Parkinson’s

The fundraising event is organized by the Michael J Fox Foundation with the aim of funding research to find the cure for Parkinson’s – a cause very close to David’s heart.

Held on the 29th August 2020, 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to MJFF’s programs to speed better Parkinson’s treatments and end the disease for good.

David will be cycling a 42 mile round-trip course along the scenic American river from Sacramento to the historic town of Old Folsom, CA, to do his bit to help find a cure.

Tour History

The first Tour de Fox in 2015 was a three-month climbing, biking and hiking adventure that passed through all 48 of the contiguous United States and into Canada. It raised $2.5 million in support of critical Parkinson’s research, more than doubling the original $1 million goal.

The 2016 Tour de Fox Series gathered more than 900 cyclists for three cycling events across the United States and Canada (Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and Wine Country rides), galvanizing 5,700 donations and raised an incredible $830,000 in support of the Foundation’s high-impact programs.

The 2017 Tour de Fox Series expanded from three to four rides, adding the Blue Ridge ride in Greenville, SC. The events welcomed 1,221 cyclists (97 of whom live with PD) and raised over $1.17 million towards accelerating a cure.

2018 welcomed two new locations (The Tri-State ride in Madison, NJ and Lone Star ride in Dallas, TX) helping to bring together 1,266 cyclists together and raise over a million dollars once again – whilst an Atlanta ride was added in 2019.
