elementsuite was born out of the frustration of 20 years working with over-engineered, expensive ERP mega-systems and the associated difficulties and costs of integrating best-of-breed patchwork solutions to try and create a consolidated HR record.
HR Software Requirements
Due to growth of the company, elementsuite needed additional marketing capability to take advantage of increased business opportunities. Already an existing Marketing Moves client, the company’s Chief of Staff contacted Marketing Moves CEO Mel Day to recruit this important role.
Senior Digital Marketing Manager
elementsuite was looking for a creative digital marketing manager with a strong focus on integrated marketing strategies to attract and acquire new customers, and engage / build relationships with existing customers.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the ability to further establish elementsuite’s brand and to generate the levels of attendance and engagement needed to support the required sales leads and pipeline goals as part of truly integrated marketing campaigns.
Specifically, the Senior Digital Marketing Manager would perform the following duties:
- Lead with a three year marketing plan then manage and execute the agreed integrated digital marketing
- Be the heart of new business generation running the digital marketing engine to deliver marketing leads to sales
- Data led decision making to monitor, analyse and report on performance of each activity and asset and communicate results and plan for improvement; check lead quality and sales follow-up, and action timely if required
Finding candidates with the balance between strategic approach and tactical ability is what made this recruitment project particularly difficult, as well as looking for someone who could make an impact and grow with the business.
Thankfully, this is far from Mel’s first rodeo and he set about the task by utilising the Marketing Moves database – which has been populated with tech marketing experts since 1992.
After extensive work – and combined with supporting sources across social media and referrals – Mel came up with a longlist of 148 suitable individuals for the role. Importantly, these were both active and passive candidates, providing temenos with individuals unavailable to generic recruiters.
Successful Software Digital Marketing Recruitment
After careful analysis of all 148 candidates – and accompanying conversations with the most suitable – Mel produced a shortlist of four applicants which he put forward to a three stage interview process (one of which involved a practical task).
After much deliberation from the interview panel, the successful applicant was chosen based on their superior suitability to the job description. They are already in post having started late February 2023.
