Marketing Moves’ Senior Partner Nathan Davies delivers successful recruitment of Senior Marketing Manager – Southern Europe, for global cyber security startup software company Cybereason!
When rapidly growing cyber security startup software company Cybereason required a Senior Marketing Manager based in London to cover Southern Europe, the company’s EMEA Marketing Director turned to Marketing Moves’ Senior Partner Nathan Davies – who specialises in cyber security – to deliver this vital recruitment project.
Nathan has over a decade’s worth of experience recruiting senior marketing professionals in the Security, Cloud, SaaS and Storage sectors. With deep expertise himself, having worked in the sector prior to joining Marketing Moves, Nathan has been phenomenally successful placing CMOs, SVPs, Marketing Directors and Managers in critical and strategic positions throughout the sector globally.
Covering Field and Partner Marketing across the full marketing mix for the South European region, the candidate had to be fluent or native French speaker. Finding a candidate with the right experience for a cyber security start-up in London is a challenge in itself, but adding the language requirement into the mix made it even more challenging.
In order to overcome this imposing obstacle, Nathan began by headhunting and networking into companies he knew would have the right profile of candidates. As is so often the case in complex recruitment processes, the best candidates are passive: they are not actively seeking a new job so they will not apply for job vacancies.
Instead, they have to be identified, contacted, convinced and at times persuaded – which is exactly what happened here. Through an extensive search process Nathan created a long list of 30 suitable candidates, of which five made it to the shortlist. These five were invited to a lengthy ten week interview process involving multiple rounds with Cybereason stakeholders across the globe.
Marketing Moves is delighted to announce that after a thorough interview process, the company has appointed its new Senior Marketing Manager – who started in the role in March 2019. The successful applicant had been previously identified by Nathan Davies as the ideal candidate – who lived in Spain and was prepared to move to the UK. The candidate was chosen for a variety of reasons, but key amongst them was personality, the right core skill-set and fluency in multiple languages.
